Hi there

Been playing my Ranger for quite some time now... and I think about a year ago, I saw some R/E build using Mark of Rodgort. Not knowing much about rangers and damage etc I paid no more attention to it.

However, this morning it came back to mind.
So I started playing around with some degen and extra damage skills...

This is what I have so far:
[skill]conjure flame[/skill][skill]read the wind[/skill][skill]screaming shot[/skill][skill]mark of rodgort[/skill][skill]prepared shot[/skill][skill]savage shot[/skill][skill]distracting shot[/skill][skill]sunspear rebirth signet[/skill]

attributes:
12 in fire
8 in expertise
13 in markmanship

Lack of Distracting Shot.
And your elite is wasted, you shouldn't really run into energy problems with that...

when using prep shot, I don't... haven't really tried without...

what's your marksmanship at? are you at least reaching your bowq req? meeting the req of your bow can increase your dmg output significantly.

edit: use this as your prep. [glass arrows]

Not sure how this would synergize but what about [Barrage] and no Read the Wind? It could potentially spread the burning to that group of enemies.

If it's open you should fill it in wih D-Shot.
D-Shot should be on any bow Rangers' bar.

[Glyph of Lesser Energy] You can also use this so your 2 spells will only cost you 5 energy.

Would give you 1 less attack slot, but you'll have 20 unspent energy to spam other stuff.

Barrage + Mark = Good, and a Firey Bow String means you don't HAVE to take along conjure, of course it helps when you don't have an added damage Prep because of Barrage. D-Shot is a must. GoLE is handy, used to be a must back when Mark was 25e. Aned keep Sreemiung or add hunters, max degen is FTW.

Very useful for taking down shrines in AB, with a long bow which negates Screeming though.

One of my old guildies used a conjure archer almost exclusively. it went something like this:
[conjure flame][ignite arrows][dual shot][distracting shot][Lightning Reflexes][prepared shot][resurrection signet]

However that same person has over 19,000 deaths that were NOT accrued via death levelling in pre searing.

If your Guildie is not useing a Firey Bow String then it won't work, Ignite does not change your damage to Fire, it keeps it physical, the Arrows just Explode is all.

19k deaths though, I hope your guildies character is close to 3 years old or, yeah......

The problem is that there are already builds that do what Conjure does, but better. You have the turret build for single target damage and splinter weapon for crowds. It could work in general PvE though.

Conjure is never worth it. Mark of Rodgort isn't worth it on even an Ele primary. You'd be better off with something else that is easier to maintain.
